Insectarium, Bella + Frank’s first Fall/Winter collection is dedicated to the little creatures who accomplish great feats in nature every day.
From bees and other pollinating insects (without whom we wouldn’t have food) to insects that help us maintain soil health and make it possible for plants and crops to grow, insects are some of the most brilliant creatures on Earth.
These tiny creatures are sometimes underestimated or even undervalued, but they are actually the life-sustainers of our ecosystems.
Mother and daughter Lesley and Hannah launched the brand in 2019 with the aim of instilling eco-consciousness in young people and helping to develop a generation of environmentally conscious consumers. Bella + Frank is named after two of the most brazen Italian greyhounds in the world.
Brighton’s art duo and admirers of Matisse and Modigliani, who have experimented with different printmaking techniques from collage to linoleum for decades, believe that art can ignite change for individuals and communities. By translating their work into adventurous and playful childrenswear designs, we strongly believe that if you want to inspire children, perhaps there’s no better way to do that than with what they are exposed to every day: fun, artistically designed, and ethically sourced clothes. Many of Bella + Franks’ styles are reversible and made from recycled fabrics such as Tencel and certified organic cotton.
