Viranica Manchu is the founder and creative director of Maison Ava. Born and educated in New York, she developed a passion for design and luxury at a young age and went on to pursue degrees in jewelry design, gemology, and fashion merchandising. After completing her studies, she moved to her family’s home country of India to broaden her experience in jewelry design. As the family grew, Viranica began looking for elaborate occasion outfits for her younger children. When she couldn’t find the level of craftsmanship she needed, she was inspired to create her own party wardrobe. Her designs quickly attracted attention and enthusiasm and prompted Viranica to start Maison Ava. Fueled by her entrepreneurial spirit and love of fashion, Viranica has established a fully operational studio in India, where Maison Ava’s creations are produced from start to finish. She is committed to preserving the country’s unique weaving and decoration craftsmanship and blending it with innovative styles of tailoring and design. As a mother of four, she knows the challenges of dressing her children beautifully, so she puts them at the center, paying attention to the use of soft and natural fabrics, and strategically setting up beading and embroidery. Her vision for Maison Ava was to create a brand that was loved by young customers, not adults who provided them with clothing.
The presentation of Maison Ava is part of the Children’s Show, a new trade show dedicated to the high-end children’s fashion market. The event brought together designers, buyers, and fashion enthusiasts who appreciate the artistry and sophistication of children’s fashion and lifestyle. The addition of Maison Ava’s “Cirque du Chic” collection adds a touch of glamour and excitement to the children’s show, highlighting the growing interest and demand for high-quality, fashion-forward children’s clothing. The event not only provided a platform for designers to showcase their work, but also gave attendees a glimpse into the future of children’s fashion. With exquisite venues, delightful cuisine, and glamorous mini fashion shows, Maison Ava’s presentation at the children’s show became a striking moment that showcased the brand’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of children’s fashion and inspired others in the industry to do the same.
